Samrat Majumder is a Scottish-Indian classical guitarist who is an ambassador for the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and co-founder of the Classical Guitar Reach Foundation of India.

Samrat Majumder is a Scottish-Indian classical guitarist currently studying for his Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. In May 2025, Samrat was announced as the inaugural Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) 40th Anniversary Artist, also becoming a joint YCAT-Concert Artists Guild (USA) Artist for 2025.

He also runs a mentorship programme that offers select Indian classical guitarists regular lessons as well as opportunities to connect with Professors and Institutions in Europe, with the prospect of them applying for higher education studies abroad in the future.

During the 2025/26 season Samrat will perform throughout the UK. He'll be performing at Partickhill following his debut recital at the Wigmore Hall!
